Ms.Jalva Haneef a student of PACP has received Short-term Research Grants for Undergraduate Students of institutions affiliated to RGUHS for the year 2020-21 for project entitled Preparation and characterization of Tamoxifen citrate loaded polyanhydride based gel formulations under the guidance of Dr.Jagadeesh Hiremath and Ms.Prathika Bhandary.

Achievements

Overview

The department of pharmaceutics was established in the year 2018 and has well-trained and qualified faculty. The department is well equipped with the state of the art infrastructure and equipments like Dissolution apparatus, Disintegration apparatus, UV spectrophotometer, Tablet Punching machine, Friability apparatus, and Ampoule filling and sealing machine, to name a few. The department teaches and trains students in different areas of pharmaceutics, such as Dosage form development, Physical pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical engineering, Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence. In addition, the department also encourages students to undertake research projects supervised by faculty to expose the students to basic research in pharmaceutics. The department is equipped with three undergraduate laboratories, a Machine room and a central instrument room to impart quality training to the budding pharmacist. The department ensures that the graduates excel in the art of formulation development by providing holistic training encompassing all areas of modern pharmaceutics.
