Educational Loan

Vidya Lakshmi is a first of its kind portal for students seeking Education Loan. This portal has been developed under the guidance of Department of Financial Services, (Ministry of Finance), Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and Indian Banks Association (IBA). The portal has been developed and being maintained by NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited. Students can view, apply and track the education loan applications to banks anytime, anywhere by accessing the portal. The portal also provides linkages to National Scholarship Portal.

The Salient features of the scheme are as under:

  • The scheme envisages loans up to Rs.7.5 lakh for studies in India and up to Rs. 15 lakh for studies abroad.
  • For loans up to Rs. 4 lakh no collateral or margin is required and the interest rate is not to exceed the Prime Lending Rates (PLR). For loans above Rs. 4 lakh the interest rate will not exceed PLR plus 1 percent.
  • The loans are to be repaid over a period of 5 to 7 years with provision of grace period of one year after completion of studies.

Overview

P. A. College of Pharmacy (PACP), an enviable destination for pharmacy education in the in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka state, is approved/ recognized institution to impart by Pharmaceutical education. The institute is approved by PCI & AICTE, Recognized by Govt. of Karnataka and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. PACP was established in 2018 with the intention to provide quality education and training in Pharmaceutical sciences, and to build a strong, competent, qualified pharmaceutical force in India. Course-Details

BACHELOR OF PHARMACY

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) is a 4 years undergraduate program which is compulsory for anyone who wants to practice as a pharmacist. In many countries, this degree is a prerequisite for registration to practice as a Pharmacist. B. Pharmacy is study of preparing and conferring drugs and medicines for a number of illnesses and deficiencies. Pharmacists are needed in every location and every hospital, due to which the scope of this course has increased positively.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) covers all the facets of healthcare including bio-chemical areas that concern the preparation of medicines and implementing those for the right diagnose. Prevailing modernization in the field of Pharmacy has globally increased its value. Bachelor of Pharmacy engages studies of all those subjects that therapeutically help people provided from their medicines.

DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY

D.Pharma also called Diploma in Pharmacy, is pursued by the students in the medical field of Pharmacy. D.Pharm means two-year Diploma in Pharmacy. It is generally a course for hospital oriented pharmacy i,e dispensing pharmacy. The person who has completed D. Pharm can be employed as registered pharmacist in Hospital and Community pharmacies to dispense drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR D.PHARM & PHARM D

For Pharm D and D. Pharm, the candidates should have passed the two years P.U.C. Examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board in any combination comprising P.C.M. or P.C.B. or P.C.M.B, P.C. and computer Sciences, P.C. and Electronics.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR M.PHARM

A candidate who has passed B.Pharm degree examination of recognized Indian University established by law in India or any other degree courses n Pharmacy recognized as equivalent by RGUHS or Pharmacy council of India (PCI) and /or All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) for the purpose and who has secured not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years) prescribed for the qualification examination shall be eligible for the admission to the M.Pharm course.

Further, Pharmacy teachers having recognize B.Pharm qualification and with minimum of five years of teaching experience in an institution approved by A.I.C.T.E and PCI will be eligible provided they have scored not less than 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years in B.Pharm).

For SC/ST (Karnataka Category-I candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum marks in the qualifying examinations.

CET Procedure

  • The candidates will have to appear in the Karnataka Common Entrance test (Karnataka CET) scheduled to be conducted every year.
  • After the declaration of results, the candidates will need to register themselves for the counseling.
  • The counselling will be conducted in two rounds.
  • The verification of documents will be done at the specified help centres and the verification slip will be issued to the candidates.
  • After getting the verification slip, the candidates will fill their choices of courses and colleges.
  • The allotment of seats to the undergraduate courses will be done Online.
  • The seats in the courses and institutes will be allotted on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in Karnataka CET Examination.

Management Procedure

The application for B.Pharm management quota admission can be filled either online or offline. The candidate selection process will begin with a personal interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of subject experts and professors of the institute. Your performance in the interview will determine whether you get admission or not. If you have qualified in the interview, you can take direct admission in the institute. You just need to submit your original certificates to the college at the time of admission.

Minority welfare department, Karnataka

  • Minority students should apply first under National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and then apply under State Scholarship Portal (SSP).
  • Applying for a scholarship under the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (Ministry of Minority Affairs, GOI) is a must for applying under State Scholarship Portal (SSP) - Karnataka because NSP ID is required for applying under SSP.
  • Only those students who are not covered in NSP will be covered under SSP.
